Student Testimonial from Linda S. I had one of the greatest experiences of my life when I took an all day one-on-one knitting lesson from Kira. I have wanted to incorporate beads into knitting for a long time and knew it would more difficult for me as I am spatially challenged. Kira was an outstanding instructor and used strategies so that I would be able to learn and succeed. She was patient and encouraging as well. I am truly enjoying knitting with beads and am looking forward to another lesson when I next visit San Francisco |

Student Testimonial from Heron S.
I have been a crocheter for about 25 years, a teacher for 30 years, and a professional Learning Strategist for about 10. Last winter I decided I wanted to expand my crochet skills by learning a fairly complex new stitch that I'd found in a rummage sale mohair scarf. Kira helped me identify the design and then I took four private lessons from her to learn not only how to do the stitch but also how to read and follow crochet patterns.
Because of my background in how people variously learn, I was particularly aware of Kira's seemingly innate ability and practice of letting me take the lead in what I needed to learn the new skills. We made progress at my own comfortable rate and she presented the new material to me in visual, spoken, and of course physical forms which engaged my whole mind for clarity as well as long-lasting learning that I can reapply independently. I was fully supported to pace my own learning and to integrate it as we proceeded by resting, speaking back what I'd learned, and with periods of working on my own so that I gained the independence I wanted. The prayer-shawl that I'm making with my new stitch ("Floral Trellis") is coming along great and looking wonderful!
I whole-heartedly and appreciatively recommend Kira Dulaney as a teacher for both individuals and groups--you'll have a great time and she'll give you priceless support to learn the skills you want!
