Abbreviated Jacket

7/11/08    Body instruction 1 should read:

1.  Cast on 178(190, 192, 208, 216, 228, 240) stitches on circular needles.  Place markers 45(48, 48, 52, 54, 57, 60) stitches from each end for front sections, leaving 88 (94, 96, 104, 108, 114, 120) sts in the middle for the back.  Work 2 rows in Tweed Stitch.

6/22/07    Body instruction 4 should read:

4.  Transfer front stitches to holders and rejoin yarn to back section.  Decrease 1 st at beginning and end of every other row for 12 (12, 16, 20, 22, 24, 24) rows until 74 (78, 80, 80, 84, 86, 90)sts remain.  Work even until armhole measures 7.1” (7.3”, 7.8”, 8”, 8.2”, 8.5”, 8.7”). Cast off 13 (14, 15, 16, 16, 17, 18) sts on next row, work to end.  Cast off all remaining stitches.

6/22/07    Body instruction 6 should read:

6.  Shape neck.  Cast off 15 (16, 15, 15, 15, 16, 16) sts at neck edge on each front piece.  Decrease 1 st at neck edge on each front piece every row 10 (10, 10, 10, 11, 10, 11) times, until 13 (14, 15, 15, 16, 17, 18) sts remain on each front section.  Work even until armhole measures 7.1” (7.3”, 7.8”, 8”, 8.2”, 8.5”, 8.7”).  Cast off all sts from armhole edges.

 

Cocoon Sweater

1/30/09 Body instruction 3 should read:

3.  Front shaping: Decrease 1 st on each front section next to border marker on every other row 2nd row 5(11) times, then every row 20(18) times.  Work until piece measures 6”(7”) -- front shaping will not yet be finished; you will continue it after joining the body and sleeves.

12/22/07  Sleeve instruction 2 should read:

2.  Change to size 9 double-pointed needles and Stocking stitch.  Increase 1 st at beginning and end of every 9th(18th) round 3(1) times to 28(28) sts.  Work even until sleeve measures 6.5”(7”).  Work to 2 sts before marker.  Cast off 4 sts, then work to end of row.

12/22/07 Yoke instruction 1 should read:

1.  Yoke: Continuing front shaping as established, knit right front sts, place raglan marker, knit 24 sts from first sleeve, place raglan marker, knit 39(43) back sts, place raglan marker, knit 24 sts from second sleeve, place raglan marker, and knit left front sts. 

12/22/07 Yoke instruction 3 should read:

3.  When there are 21(25) stitches remaining on back section, change to Seed stitch on back section and continue decreases.  When there are 4 stitches (the Seed stitch bands) remaining on front sections, 2 sts on sleeve sections, and 17(21) stitches on back sections, work 10 sts, bind off 9(13) sts, and work remaining 10 sts.

 

Concentric Circles Pullover

9/29/09 Materials should read:

Main Color: 220(260) yards worsted weight yarn

Contrast Color: 160(190) yards worsted weight yarn

 

Curvature Jacket

1/14/09 In the Finished Dimensions, there is an extra size for the waist and the hip.  The waist measurement of 37.5" and the hip measurement of 41" should be crossed out.  The correct Finished Dimensions are:

Bust: 33”(37”, 41”, 45”)      

Waist: 28”(31.5”, 35.5”, 40”)

Hip: 31”(34.5”, 38”, 43”)       

Length: 21”(21.5”, 22.5”, 22.7”)  

1/21/09 In the Body instructions, the following rows should read:

Row 4: *Inc in every second stitch 5(5, 9, 3) times, then inc in the next st, repeat from * 5(5, 3, 9) times, then inc in every second stitch 0(4, 3, 8) times. Total 102(114, 125, 134) sts

Row 8: *Inc in every third stitch 5(5, 9, 3) times, l ldc in next st, inc in next st, repeat from * 5(5, 3, 9) times, then inc in every third stitch 0(4, 3, 8) times. Total 138(154, 168, 182) sts.

Row 13: *Inc in every fourth stitch 5(5, 9, 3) times, l ldc in next 2 sts, inc in next st, repeat from * 5(5, 3, 9) times, then inc in every fourth stitch 0(4, 3, 8) times. Total 174(194, 211, 230) sts.

Row 17: *Inc in every fifth stitch 5(1, 9, 1) times, 1 ldc in next 3 sts, inc in next st, repeat from * 5(15, 3, 19) times, then inc in every fifth stitch 0(10, 3, 10) times. total 210(236 , 254, 280) sts.

 

Cutaway Skirt

11/26/08 Skirt Instruction 1 should read:

1.  Waistband.  Cast on 132(148, 164, 188, 212 ) sts with Zoe on size 6 needles, placing markers every 33(37, 41, 47, 53) sts and leaving a tail approx. 12" long to finish waistband.  Place a marker for beginning of round and join, taking care not to twist the stitches around the needle.  Knit 5 rounds, purl 1 round, then knit 4 more rounds.  Next row: insert left needle into cast on edge of stitch corresponding to first st on left needle.  Knit these two stitches together.  Repeat until 10 sts from end of round, knit this last 10 sts normally.  This creates the channel for the elastic and leaves an opening to thread it into waistband.

4/1/09 Pleated Inserts Instruction 2 should start:

2.  Cast on 184(214, 222, 256, 272) sts with fingering or laceweight yarn and middle-size needles.

 

Diamond Back Top

6/22/08 Body instruction 1 should read:

1.  With larger needles, cast on 37(37, 43, 47, 51, 53) sts for neck.  Place markers to separate sections: 2 sts for front, 4(4, 4, 5, 6, 7) sts for sleeve, 25(25, 31, 33, 35, 35) sts for back, 4(4, 4, 5, 6, 7) sts for sleeve, 2 sts for front.  Place different colored markers for center 19 sts of back section for Moss Stitch Diamond Panel.  The yoke of this top is knit flat until the neckline shaping is finished, then it will be joined into the round.

 

Eyelet Twist Pullover

6/18/08 Sleeve instruction 3 should read:

3.  Work even until sleeve measures 17”, ending with an even-numbered round of the Eyelet Twist Panel. 

 

Fireside Jacket

1.  Using smaller hook, make 78(82, 86, 92, 96) ch.

Row 1 (RS): 1HBhtr in 3rd ch from hook, 1HBhtr into each ch to end, turn.  76(80, 84, 90, 94) sts. 

Row 2: 2 ch (counts as 1htr), 1HBhtr into 2nd st and each st to end, turn.

Row 3: as for Row 2

Row 4 (Buttonhole Row): 2 ch (counts as 1htr), 1HBhtr into 2nd st, 1HBhtr into next st, ch 3, skip 3 sts, 1HBhtr into next st and each st to end, turn.

Rows 5-11: as for Row 2

Row 12: as for Row 4

Rows 13-15: as for Row 2

2.  Change to larger hook and create double-layer collar as follows: fold work so that the edge of the starting chain lines up with edge of the row just finished, with the right side out.  Slip stitch to first chain to join and work 1 row HBhtr as for Row 2, inserting hook through each st and the corresponding chain st at the same time.

Repeat on next row. 16(18, 20) sts remain on each front section. Continue working as much of cable as possible. Decrease 1 st at neck edge every row 5(5, 6) times – 11(13, 14) sts remain on each front section. Work even on all pieces until armhole measures 6" (6.25", 7").

 

3/30/09 Armhole Edging for Vest Instruction 1 should read:

1.  With right side facing, use smaller double-pointed needles to pick up 54(56, 60) sts around circumference of armhole.  Work in K1P1 rib for 4 rounds.. Bind off loosely in rib. Repeat for second armhole.

6/22/07    Body instruction 3 should read:

3.  Waist Shaping: Decrease 1 stitch on either side of side markers on next row, then every following 6th (9th, 10th, 11th, 8th, 9th) row 3 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) times.  Work even for 1”.  Increase 1 stitch on either side of side markers on next row, then every following 9th (10th, 11th, 10th, 10th, 15th) row 4 (4, 4, 4, 4, 3) times to 75 (82, 91, 100, 108, 118) stitches in back section.  AT THE SAME TIME, start front shaping by decreasing 1 st at both front edges every other row 50 (37, 43, 40, 45, 41) times, then every row 2 (19, 20, 28, 22, 33) times as follows: work 5 border stitches, slip border marker, ssk, work to last 7 stitches, k2tog, slip border marker, work to end. 

3/10/08 Body instruction 5 should read:

5.  After waist shaping is finished, continue front shaping as established and work to total 13.25" (13.25", 13.5", 13.5", 13.5", 14.25"), ending with a wrong side row.

3/20/09    Body instruction 3 and 4 should read:

3. Waist Shaping: Decrease 1 st before and after both side “seam” markers on next row, then every following 6th(9th, 10th, 11th, 8th, 9th) row 2(1, 1, 1, 1, 1) more times to 67(74, 83, 92, 100, 112) sts in back section. Work even for 1".

4. Increase 1 st before and after both side “seam” markers on next row, then every following 9th(10th, 11th, 10th, 10th, 15th) row 3(3, 3, 3, 3, 2) more times to 75(82, 91, 100, 108, 118) sts in back section. AT THE SAME TIME, start front shaping by decreasing 1 st at both front edges every other row 49(45, 41, 37, 45, 41) times, then every row 2(9, 20, 29, 24, 24) times as follows:

On RS rows work 5 border sts, slip border marker, ssk, work to last 7 sts, k2tog, slip border marker, work to end.

On WS rows work 5 border sts, slip border marker, p2tog, work to last 7 sts, p2togtbl, slip border marker, work to end.

Note: the front shaping will not be finished before you move onto the next step; it will be continued as you work on the armhole and raglan shaping.

 

Perforated Gloves

1/26/08  Both glove instructions should read:

9.  Thumb.  Transfer 13 sts from holder to larger dpns, pick up 2(3) sts from the cast on stitches at side of palm.  Work 8 rounds.  Change to size 2 needles and work 3 rounds in K1P1 Rib.  Cast off loosely in rib.

 

Ragged Sweater

10/14/09  Sleeve instruction 4 should read:

4. Cap shaping. Note: The sleeve cap is shaped differently than normal to make the seam go up the outside of the arm rather than the inside of the arm. The shaping is similar to the neckline on a scoop-neck sweater. Work 20(22, 23, 25) sts, join a second ball of yarn and bind off center 8(8, 10, 10) sts, then work to end or row. Continue to work both sides at once. Decrease 1 st on each side of center opening on every 3rd row 13(11, 11, 8) times, then every 2nd row 0(3, 4, 8) times. Loosely bind off remaining stitches.

2. Set up eyelet pattern:

        Round 1: knit 56(61, 60, 60, 62) sts, place eyelet marker, work to side marker, knit 56(61, 60, 60, 62) sts, place eyelet marker, knit to end of round.

        Round 2: k to 2 sts before first eyelet marker, k2tog, slip marker, yo, knit to 2 sts before second eyelet marker, k2tog, slip marker, yo, knit to end of round.  Repeat this round for pattern.

10/24/08  Body instruction 4 should read:

4. Divide for armhole. Work to 2(2, 3, 3, 4) sts before first side marker, bind off 4(4, 6, 6, 8) sts, work to 2(2, 3, 3, 4) sts before second side marker, bind off 4(4, 6, 6, 8) sts, work to end. Transfer the first section of sts (front of sweater) and eyelet marker to a holder or spare circular needle. Continue on the back, working the right side rows as established and wrong side rows as follows: purl to eyelet marker, yo, slip marker, p2tog, purl to end.

 

12/21/08 Body instruction 3 should read:

3. Waist Shaping.
