Bell-shaped cloche hats are classic, feminine, and a great way to keep your ears protected on windy days. Here, a double strand of thick yarn creates a sturdy fabric that keeps its shape. Accent your cloche with a vintage brooch, fabulous button, or make the felt flower shown here.

child small(adult extra small, adult medium, adult extra large)
Circumference: 17.25"(19.75", 22.25", 24.5")
GAUGE: 4" = 13 sts and 22 rounds in Double Moss Stitch with doubled strand of yarn
Note: yarn shown usually knits at 16-18 sts to 4" in Stocking Stitch with a single strand of yarn

size 9 circular needles 16"
size 9 double-pointed needles

scrap of felt 4" by 10" or 7" by 7"
one 0.75"-1.5" button
