            These richly textured mittens work up quickly into a dense, warm fabric that will keep hands warm.   With just a few hours of knitting you’ll have thick, warm mittens to see you through the winter.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS:

Circumference at Palm: 6.75"(7.5", 8.5", 9.25")

Length: 8.5"(9.75", 10.75", 11.25")

MATERIALS:

100(120, 150, 180) yards bulky weight yarn

size 9 and 11 double-pointed needles

scrap yarn to use as stitch holders

stitch markers

tapestry needle

GAUGE:

4" = 18 sts and 14 rounds in Herringbone Stitch on larger needles

4" = 18 sts and 15 rounds in Basket Rib Stitch on smaller needles

Note: yarn shown usually knits at 11-13 stitches to 4" in Stocking Stitch
