This simple-to-crochet cap is worked from the top down, ending with the jaunty brim.  Depending on the wearer, it looks sporty or mod and somehow slightly British.  The soft cotton yarn is a pleasure to wear.

Circumference: baby 16” (child 18.5”, adult 21”)

MATERIALS:

110(125, 145) yards Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria (100% pure Peruvian cotton; 116 yards/50 grams) – shown to left

OR 220(250, 290) yards Artfibers Rush (100% cotton; 150 yards/50 grams) – shown below

size F crochet hook

GAUGE: 4" = 15.5 sts by 14 rows in Half Double Crochet on size F hook

Note: if using Artfibers Rush, work with a double strand of yarn throughout
