These gloves have just enough lace for a ladylike look, but are still solid enough to keep the cold out.  The sturdy cotton/microfiber yarn makes a perfect lightweight glove for slightly chilly days, or try a pair in an organic wool for colder weather.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS: women’s small (large)

Circumference: 5.5” (6”) at wrist, 6” (6.5”) at palm

Length: 8.5” (8.7”)

MATERIALS:

110(130) yards Rowan Calmer (75% cotton/25% acrylic microfiber;175 yards/50grams) – shown to left

OR Artfibers Tasmania (100% merino wool; 130 yards/50 grams) – shown below

size 2 and size 4 double-pointed needles

stitch markers

scrap yarn to use as stitch holders

GAUGE: 4" = 24 sts by 36 rows in stocking stitch on size 4 needles

Note: both yarns usually knits at 21 sts = 4”, but have been knit on smaller needles to get a denser fabric suitable for gloves.
