This is a pattern collection of the Cocoon Sweater, Fireside Jacket, and Organic Hoodie patterns, at a discounted price. You can find more information about each sweater by following the links above, or purchase any pattern separately for $5.00.
This sweater is designed to be knit almost seamlessly, with the body including front edging knit in one piece to the armholes and the sleeves knit in the round with double-pointed needles. Then the sleeves and body are joined and knit in one piece. It will grow with the baby longer than most sweaters, since you can adjust how tightly or loosely you tie it.
This pattern is sized for 6 months and 1 year and has a gauge of 15 sts to 4" in stocking stitch using bulky weight yarn. The yardage required ranges from 275-325 yards. The yarn shown is Tactile Fiber Arts Cotton.
This cardigan reminds me of men's shawl-collared sweaters from the late 1950s. The cozy collar will keep the wearer warm, and the extra long sleeves can be folded up, or unrolled to keep hands covered, and will also allow the sweater to fit for a few extra months. It is knit seamlessly from the hem to the neck, then the collar is picked up and shaped with short rows.
This pattern is sized for 1 year, 2 years, and 4 years and has a gauge of 15 sts to 4" in stocking stitch using bulky weight yarn. The yardage required ranges from 230 to 330 yards. The yarn shown is Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton.
This sweater is quick and interesting to knit, with minimal finishing. The claw cables, one of which travels up the back and over the hood like a dragon's dorsal ridge, add to the organic feel of the design. The hood and the thickness added by the cables make this a cozy sweater for chilly days. Instructions are given for both long-sleeve and vest versions.
This pattern is sized for 2 years, 4 years, and 6 years and has a gauge of 16.5 stitches to 4" in stocking stitch using aran weight yarn. The yardage required ranges from 360 to 560 yards for the vest and 450 to 650 yards for the sweater. The yarns shown are Inca Cotton and Tactile Fiber Arts Organic Cotton.
