This hat uses a very simple stitch pattern that mixes 1x1 ribbing and seed stitch, but looks much more interesting than either. In a solid-color matte yarn is a good basic men’s hat. Knit in the round from the bottom up, it can be completed in just a couple hours. This is a great first hat pattern!

Circumference: baby 16" (child 18”, adult small 20”, adult large 22")
MATERIALS:
80 (100, 150, 180) yards Artfibers Zoe (75% nylon/25% viscose; 104 yards/50 grams)
size 5 16" circular needles
size 5 double-pointed needles
GAUGE: 4" = 21 sts by 37 rows in Seeded Rib on size 5 needles
Note: this yarn is usually knit at 4" = 20 sts by 30 rows in Stocking Stitch on size 8 needles
