Side Impact Sweater

This fitted-waist funnel neck sweater is a shape I keep recreating, with changes to the yarn and stitch details.  The lace panels on the sleeves of this sweater continue up the saddle shoulder and into the funnel neck, while matching panels run along the sides of the body.  The body and sleeves are knit in the round to the armholes, then knit flat and sewn together.  Short rows are used to shape the shoulders, which leaves a clean edge to sew to the saddle shoulder bands.  The lightweight cotton yarn creates a beautifully subtle striated pattern across the front and back of the sweater.
