I’m always on the lookout for vintage cloches and am invariably disappointed when they’re too small to fit my head. This crocheted version gives the requisite sleek look and the single crochet stitch lends necessary structure, keeping the iconic cloche shape even as it stretches to fit the wearer’s head. The narrow stripe of Scarab is a nod to the festive bands that often decorated fabric and felt cloches, and a big button or antique pin wouldn’t be out of place, if you were inclined to add one.
