The cable pattern of this hat reminds me of water flowing through a rocky stream bed, the current twisting and swirling. The soft slouchy shape is attractive and won’t smoosh your hair. Choose a yarn with lots of stretch to make sure the band stays snug.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS: child(adult medium)

Circumference: 18.25"(22.75")

GAUGE: 4" = 28 sts and 32 rounds in Swirling Eddies Stitch

                 Note: yarns shown usually knit at 21-23 sts to 4" in Stocking Stitch

150(200) yards dk or light worsted weight yarn

size 4 and 6 circular needles 16"

size 6 double-pointed needles

tapestry needle
